Whoo hoo! :D this morning, the world had a lovely surprise for me-- snow! everything was covered in a thin layer of fluffy whiteness.. wonderful! the cat was going crazy playing with the snowflakes in the garden, there were small bird tracks on the windshield of my car and the air smelled so fresh. i love it!

Yes, although today it is snowing everywhere in the country apart from here :(

2. do you like snow?
Yes its great

3. ever been on a skiing / boarding trip? where? when?
No :(

4. ever done any other winter sports?
I've only been skiing once on a dry ski slope (they hurt)

5. what's your first snow memory?
Making a snowman in my front garden my my brother

6. what's your best snow experience?
Walking home from one new years eve party and having a snowball fight

wondering why it was yellow... and then realising

yes, once.... i succumbed to the beggings of my then girlfriend...we went skiing in gatlinburg, TN (home of dollywood, yee-haw)

being cold and wanting to go inside

getting out of the snow on my gatlinburg trip and getting back to the cabin

being in the snow when i could've been inside being warm

Yep, it snowed here last night, and I awoke to sun on the snow. Lovely.

Yes, but very seldom.

2. do you like snow?

Absolutely, except when driving.

3. ever been on a skiing / boarding trip? where? when?

No, am far to physically malco-ordinated to attempt skiing.

4. ever done any other winter sports?

Done a bit of hiking in the Bavarian Alps. And snowball fights.

5. what's your first snow memory?

Snowball fights in the back garden with my dad in 1982, when Oxford was colder than Moscow.

6. what's your best snow experience?

7. and your worst?

Breaking down in a freak snowstorm one April on the motorway at 4 am. My sister had forgotten her mobile phone so I had to walk 1/2 mile in the blizzard to the emergency telephone.

It's snowing RIGHT NOW! blizzard stylee.. I just hope it's finished blowing sideways at 500 mph before I gotta go out.

yeah, if there isn't icy wind accompanying it.

only ice skating. I did ice dance in competitions and stuff when I was about 9 - 13, it was kinda cool. I sucked though.

My dad building a snowman with me at my old house when i was about 3. It was a BEAST :D

Incredibly romantic walk home from a really shite party one new year (2001 - 2002) with my bf, it was freezing and snowing and gorgeous... It was about 4 miles. We *just* made it before midnight :)
Another good one was a snowball fight with the "big-boys" from the 6th form on the school field when I was 13. That was fun... :D
I made a great igloo in my front garden once too. Well I guess it was more of a snow-wall than an igloo cos I couldn't do the roof, but that was great fun.
My best mate and I used to try to "snowboard" on our sledges in her back garden. One of us would pull the other around in the sledge, and then we'd swap round and see who managed to stay on longest. She usually won.

Edit: On second thoughts I don't think I actually have a worst one. I love it.

1976 Pinecrest golf course in Annandale, VA. 8 inches of snow, excellent sledding conditions. Plenty of friends and plenty of time to sled. And Carol Rogerson in her ski suit, pink cheeks, sipping hot chocolate from a thermos
7. and your worst?
three weeks ago I was driving behind a young girl who panicked, slammed on the brakes, and turned sideways on a two lane road. Tried to stop, anti-lock brakes kicked in, clipped her and went into the ditch. $2600.00 damage to my ride.

yes, it does apparently. I was hoping to see some in Kyoto. I'm still a little bitter about it.

2. do you like snow?
in December, yes. Christmas lights and snowflakes is my idea of giddy peace. In March, snow can stuff it- I want sun. Snowflakes taste sweeter in December, anyway.

once- a ski trip when I was six. I just remember returning home mostly black and blue

making snow caves with my brother in Indiana. I was 4. I was only 2' tall and the snowfall was four feet. What an awesome feeling, just making little home forts in the snow.

the above was a good one. another was while working at a japanese garden. there is something truly beautiful watching snow fall on raked zen gardens and cedars.

stuck in a mountain pass on I-5 trying to get home.

walking home from a bar at 3 AM in very deep snow , plows had not been out yet, sister and i were drunk as hell, kept falling down and laughing our heads off.

winter of 78 or 79 in Ohio, too much snow, blizzards, they called out the National guard to rescue snowbound elderly, trapped inside for days

Used to live in the sierras by all of the main resorts. Went frequently.

Idaho when I was about 6. Watching my blind cousins(yes that is plural) sled down a hill. I thought it was careless of their parents. Especially when one of them went out onto a pond.

Ditching school to go skiing with my friends (I really used to have them...honest!)

Driving out to Chicago when I moved here. They shut the highway down when I was at the summit of the Rockies. Cars in ditches everywhere. It looked like armageddon...in snow anyway.

Yes - Mount Hood - winter 1984. However, I don't know how to ski - but, being an avid ice skater, I thought I could figure it out on my own... and ended up going down the bunny slope on my ice-cold jean-clad butt. Spent the rest of the afternoon in the lodge, sipping hot cocoa, checking out the boys. :D

Ice skating - indoor rink.

Snow in Reno on car hoods.

staying in a cabin when I was in high school... sliding down snow-covered hills in innertubes, making snow angels & snowmen.

Trying to walk in thigh-high snow in Boston. Brrrrrrrrrr.

powder to the waist, me and mountain alone. down.

falling head first getting burried in it. falling and get my skis caught in trees or bushes. not being able to get loose. falling asleep drunk in the snow can cause a serious chill :). crashing into hard objects like walls, trees and rocks.
And finally, when the snow melt, :(

I now have a worst snow memory. I fell on the ice last night and spent 5 hours in A&E with a concussion. Big laughs all round. Still feel sick and can't focus properly, but according to the extremely sexy doctor that'll wear off.
