Whenever I feel irretrievably crappy, I put on The Best of Herb Alpert. The effect always reminds me of scenes in movies where it'll be mobsters beating the holy hell out of some unfortunate non-payer, and the soundtrack is "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" or something. No matter how awful things are, I can always get some perspective on how absurd it is to despair by playing Herb Alpert. |
