what a way to wake up
Woke up to the news of the shuttle breaking up on re-entry. The news folks are talking about survivors but... 12,000 miles an hour and 200,000 ft altitude make that pretty hard to imagine. NASCAR crashes look like a feather bed in comparison.
God bless 'em and their families |
Just turned on the TV - wow.
How terrible - what a way to go. I second ya, Rick - hope they're either alive & staying that way or in a better place. edit: many brilliant minds lost. who needs a war? |
just trying to get this back up top

It is heart-breaking. I've felt a bit numb towards the news since September 11th, but this really broke my heart and what a sad day for Israel. What was such excitement to turn to this.
My prayers are that there are surviors, but I hate to be so down I don't know how it would be possible. |
I agree with Peg. Why must every tragic event these days need to be attached to terrorism? Even when the attachment is that there is no link to it.

I am so, so sorry. I am a complete space nut, and to me, the space programme symbolises everything that is good about America. I am so upset about this.

Excuse the language, but damn, that was the worst end to a week.
