grrm. do you have indonesian/thai food shops there? im sure youll find a bottle of ketjap manis there..

boil water for pan of rice

chop clove of garlic, onion, if you like onions, fry in oil, add 2-5 cm of chopped ginger root, bit of brown sugar and add soy sauce.. then keep tasting while you add the ketjap manis. little bits at a time, stuff can be very strong! its good when it tastes sweet and spicy at the same time.

then put rice in boiling water, cook rice for 8 mins

keep stirring the sauce, marinade pork (for babi ketjap) or chicken (for ajam ketjap) in it, fry in a wok, add rice and rest of ketjap sauce, fry in wok for 10 more minutes.
