NaNoWriMo, anyone?
Hello <Friend's Name>,
You've been challenged by auntie aubrey to write an entire novel in the month of November. Think you're up to the challenge? Come to http://www.nanowrimo.org and prove it! i wasn't sure i would participate this year, but on my recent roadtrip i was suddenly struck with sufficient inspiration to give it a try. anyone else interested in trying to squeeze out 50,000 words in 30 days?

My friend Holly has been talking about this for months. She's tried to convince me to do it with her, but 50k words is a huge amount. Maybe next year...
Good luck, Auntie! ![]() |

What's your plot, Auntie?
Holly's 26k into it, and still doesn't know what the hell she's writing about.

I thought I'd be hearing about NaNo soon.
![]() auntie, how many hours did you put in per day last year? I'm on the fence, 'cause I'm barely staying awake as it is. ![]() |

oh god, i have no idea. i had just been laid off so i had all the time in the world to piddle away on that project. basically i set a minimum per diem word count (2000) and tried to surpass that each day. 2000 words a day really isn't that much. that's, what, 4 pages in word? that's totally doable. on average i was knocking out 7-10 pages daily.
p.s. if you decide to participate we should exchange screennames so we can leave each other encouragement.
