Art in Science - Science in Art
While listening to the experimentalists' talks at that conference (which I scarcely understood
) I relished on these STM (scanning tunneling microscopy) images most of them had. They can look for example like this![]() ![]() ![]() Was thinking about maybe giving some such images to this dude who has that shop in my house and who prints art, i.e. photographs, paintings and the like, on almost everything. Think art and science belong together because they contain and sustain each other to some extend. Though that really should be pointed out much more. Thus: *Post articles, pics, etc. of art found in science or science found in art or maybe even perfect art+science hybrids* |

It's colorized, but it's an actual scanning electron micrograph of a butterfly's tongue.

I highly recommend googling The Golden Mean (or Rule of Thirds or Fibonacci series), along with anything you're interested in -- architecture, botany, supermodels...It's all in there.
![]() eta: This website has a lot of examples, btw. The heartbeat one is kinda neat... Last edited by brightpearl : 07-29-2007 at 04:01 PM. |

^Who knew Alchemical Tensors would look so much like quilts? Several of those remind me of Gee's Bend quilts, or Amish ones.

Brightpearl! Would you like to share what you're writing with the class!?

Please sir, she's just writing a pass to go to sick bay. She's really very unwell, you'd better let me accompany her there.
