Punk from Beijing
:http://www.myspace.com/brainfailurepunk (English lyrics, good for us outside-country-people not speaking Chinese)The punk scene - at least in Beijing - is very active since at least the early 90s: A boy from my class in school moved to Beijing with his family in 94 or so, before they decided to go there finally, they spent their vacation there. When we asked him how it was like, if he likes the place, first thing he said, with a big grin, was: They got punks there! Lots of them. Well, punk makes also quite lots of sense in an authoritarian country. |
