I hate celery: the taste, the smell.
Feel any better? |

as long as celery is minced very finely or the little strings are pulled out of it, I don't mind it.
It's the HUGE FREAKING CHUNKS of it put in by lazy cooks woud couldn't be arsed to chop it small that annoy me. I also like it in soups, cooked recipes etc, but again only if its not COARSELY CHOPPED

Funky, do you also feel that the raw tomato is an instrument of the devil unless deseeded and finely chopped or very thinly sliced? Perhaps we were separated at birth. |

celery, raw, develops the jaw
but celery, stewed, is more quietly chewed. - ogden nash |

I'm not so picky about tomatoes. The only annoying kind of tomatoes for me are mealy ones that are being presented raw after having been stored in the fridge.
Seeds, juice, sliced, all good. Improperly stored, not.
