666
A volume of Oxyrhynchus Papyri contains a fragmentary papyrus of Revelation which is the earliest known witness to some sections (late third / early fourth century). … One feature of particular interest is the number that this papyrus assigns to the Beast: 616, rather than the usual 666. (665 is also found.) We knew that this variant existed: Irenaeus cites (and refutes) it. But this is the earliest instance and the lowest number that has so far been found. From 616, through texts and time, Its number has increased And frightened those who worshipped with A certain sort of priest But now it's at a number where The frightening has ceased: A 6x6x6 is just The lumber of the beast.

This thread is hilarious.
M'kay, here I go. Satan had a little lamb Its fleece was dark as pitch And everywhere that Satan went The lamb was wont to bitch. It didn't like the weather It didn't like the sea It didn't like the film you chose It didn't like sushi. But Satan wasn't troubled by Lammy's constant drone because the sheep grilled excellent St. Agnes on the bone. |

satan had a little lamb
he tied it to a pylon 10,000 volts went up its bum and turned its wool to nylon (not mine, I must confess - Beatrix Crellin recited it to me when we were both in lower IV) |
