What's your favorite kitchen appliance?
Coffee's posting of his espresso pot made me think this might be interesting.
I like my blender. Makes the best smoothies I've ever had. All fresh fruit and yogurt or ice cream and right out of my fridge. Second place has to go to the food processor they gave me for 15 years of slav...er...service. |

Hands down, no thought necessary,
the dishwasher. I would never have dinner parties (I tend to give large ones) and I'd probably just never cook or eat at home without it. When I moved in here, there was no kitchen -- just a big empty room -- and the first thing I bought was a dishwasher that would do everything, including pots, without prerinsing, and designed the kitchen around it. I would have two of them if they would fit. How did humanity survive previous eons without it?? ![]()

First on my list would be my espresso maker, with the dishwasher a close second.

Cuisineart
![]() Love love love my Cuisineart... I'd list all the reasons why but it would sound just like the commercials. It does *exactly* what it's supposed to. (Mine has lasted about 13 years... good piece of equipment.) edit: Ooo! me & red... cookin' fools... ![]()

Kitchen Aid Mixer. I splurged on one when business was good and never regreted it. I can't imagine baking without it...gaaah stirring heavy cookie dough or mixing bread dough by hand...NOT.
Second place goes to the Espresso machine, the real one not the little stove top job I just bought. |

It warms my heart to see how many folks cherish their coffee making apparatus.
