When I used to have a housekeeper, she would bring her CD of Donizetti's opera "Lucia di Lamermoor" and blare it so loudly that it drowned out the vacuum and rattled the windows.
I think world music is best for cleaning: Putumayo "Rumba Flamenco" Ricardo Lemvo Maria de Barros Mama Sissoko Joe Arroyo "La Verdad" "Conjuntos!" Tex-Mex border music David Byrne's Zero Accidents on the Job (Steamy Hits disc) Anything from West Africa Big band swing music from the 1940s is really good too. .... and of course, MOTOWN

It involves rags, and vacuum cleaners, and some sort of soap. Stuff like that.
Like your mom used to do. Remember? ![]()

oooh ooh! I've got one! Walk Like An Egyptian by the Bangles! Although I absolutely hate the song, it'd be good to clean to.

I have different cleanlists for what mood I'm in. Today it's 80's
Zen, I love techno but I usually listen to it when I'm getting ready to go out. . . Sim on the other hand has to wake up to K3's Bidibodi Bidibu. It's set as our song for the alarm clock. When's he's coding he has to listen to it too. Smartypants, My recent favorite artist is Jesse Cook, and my absolute favorite of his has to be Early on Tuesday. . you should definately listen to it if you haven't. WS I'll definately have to add some Bangles to the 80's list!

I'm not sure about specific songs, but I know the following artists help to get my keister in motion whilst doing the "c" word:
Orgy Marilyn Manson Nine Inch Nails Enter The Haggis (to cleanse the pallet) ![]() Pax, LC

You rock, spart!
![]() And Willow? You're absolutely right. Say, have you ever listened to Type O Negative whilst in the "mood"? It's a good thing, trust me. Pax, LC

I always get lots of things done when I listen to Digweed: sometimes him mixing alone or with Sasha.
I too prefer techno club music to do fast-paced things to. High-speed internet is great for the Ambient radio sites- there is a great station out of Paris. Shawn and I burn CD's right off of their broadcast. |
