I am surprised by how many people are saying "no thanks" to a free Dolly ticket!

8 years or so ago I had tickets to an Alanis Morrisette concert and I couldn't make it. NO ONE wanted them. Bizarre.

So, Dolly totally was amazing! She played the piano, the guitar, the mouth harp, a harmonica, the flute, and some white mini-harp that was on her lap. And she sang...what a beautiful voice.
After work, I called every friend in Portland and left messages and finally got a hold of a friend (who is also my bf's sister) and she was totally excited to go. We had really really good seats and the man sitting next to me was probably in his 70's and he was so into Dolly. It was great! Every once in a while he'd holler "woo" real loud and he sat with his arm around his wife's shoulders and they were having such a great time. Dolly told us stories about her childhood and her family and made every one laugh and was very charming and sang so many great songs. In the very front row, right in the center, were 4 young men in cowboy hats who were totally adoring her. They totally looked like they were farm fed boys, who came into the city to see the show. She kept singing to them and from where we were sitting, we could see how excited they were. At one point, they all stood up and were dancing and singing along with Dolly. I'm not even into Dolly Parton, but she put on such a great performance, I'll certainly go see her again. She didn't change her wig, but she had little skirt things, kind of like aprons, that she put on over her outfit, that she called "add-ons". I'm very impressed by her.
