And just weighing in with my two cents...I have a problem with churches/religions using scripture to "prove" that homosexuality is wrong when they totally ignore other verses that say certain things are wrong.

In my book, you can't pick and choose (although pretty much all religions do that). I mean, I remember when divorce was considered a "sin." What? Now it's ok?!

Look at the history of any denomination (mostly speaking Christian religions here) and most have a track record of things that were previously not ok, becoming ok.

Don't mean to sound like a Catholic basher here, but just look at all the changes they've gone through. They come out with things often that say, now this is ok. What? God changed his mind?! I have a real problem with this.

I'm oversimplifying but hey, let's pull out our microscopes and focus on those verses that condemn gluttony! Or hey, how about LYING! Or...
