i am still looking for the picture of one... but i found the definition.....
Kenneth G. Wilson (1923–). The Columbia Guide to Standard American English. 1993. sofa, chesterfield, couch, davenport, day bed, settee, settle, studio bed, studio couch (nn.) These are the names of long pieces of furniture designed to seat three or more adults; they are also suitable for one to lie on at full length. Some—the studio couch, for example—open into double beds. Sofa and couch are generic; the others are special kinds, except for davenport and chesterfield, which are also regional terms.
