Ah yes...
That giant rectangle of Pizza. That was always the highlight of the week. You can't find pizza like that just anywhere, ya know.

Milk
In elementary school we had milk in clear sandwich-sized bags. to open it up, you pulled at the plastic and jammed the straw in. At the time I didn't think it was very different.

i remember sporks hairnets styrafoam trays, and the best memory was the day i missed the half-day before lunch for a doctors appointment, and came into the cafeteria with a happy meal
i also remember referring to the lunch monitor as the "lunchroom thermometer" and being made fun of for years - for that and calling a girl named monica "harmonica." |

Mmmm Mmmm Good
Nothing was better than the water-based mashed potatoes and lard gravy. I think it was the delicate balance of glucose-poised starches, similar to common white paste, and the shimmering, translucent "turkey" gravy that made me melt. Or, perhaps it only was my instestines liquifying...

The Ham and Cheese pita looks like it is sticking its tongue out. It's like "yeaak, I wouldn't even eat me!"

I remember one day in my infant school.. the routine at dinnertime was to put your hand up and a dinnerlady would bring you your lunch (we had no choice of what it was)
..and this one day, they gave me a curry, mistaking me for an asian! I dont know why as I have fair hair! I cried until they swapped it. Nowadays I would be happy ![]() |
