I have kept most of my thoughts on this off the board, due to respect for my friend. I know how she likes her privacy.
However, I want the Monkey Consensus on my theory. To me, this SCREAMS that this woman has done this before, ie screwed around with other cast members from previous plays she was involved with. And she really doesn't care enough about the person to at least learn their significant other's NAME, let alone remember it after the play is over. She is only out for herself, not caring who else might be hurt by her actions. I wonder if she would've remembered who D was? Guh. That said, I think this is another sign--that you absolutely did the right thing. ![]()

Yeah, she admitted as much that this wasn't her first "venture" this way when I confronted her.
Here's a thought: What if she had her fiance's cell one weekend and D dialed my number, but then hung up before it rang. She's randomly checking the fiance's outgoing phone calls and doesn't realize that D used it and calls me because she doesn't recognize the number. Imagine the paranoid house of cards that would follow. (And I never sent him the emails or contacted him, ever). It would explain her confusion. |
