Yes, that's me wearing shorts in the snow. Thick skin I guess... As I said, it was an amazing experience. Will I do it again? I think yes, with my children, if I will ever have any... The climb is a piece of cake for the first three days; that last three are really strenuous. We were 5 guys, but we had a big team of locals to help carry our tents, water, food etc. Our daypack weighed no more than about 7kg. We ate quite good: meat (chicken, beef) with pasta, rice, patatoes, fresh vegetables everyday, and losts of fruit. Still feel sorry for those poor bastards, they had to carry al that shit up the mountain... If you ever think of doing something similar, ask me; I'm the expert now :-) |
