Actually, this new jobbie I started, they made us all sign the No-bullying Policy. It consists of a fairly clear spelling out of direct and indirect bullying practices that won't be tolerated. It also says that staff members found to be carrying on thus may be dismissed. I can type it out if you want.

Believe it or not, it works.
Interesting! Trish, would it be possible for you to give the bullies supervisor a copy of this Policy. Maybe something like this could be implemented at your work? Although we all know how long it takes to get USEFUL policies implemented in the workplace...

From what I've read (and I've read a LOT now), it is not unusual to expect a time frame of a couple of years to get something like this underway. I hope to do it faster. I'm still not sure it will be the solution, but there has to be a start. People have to have hope.

At my last corporate job, we occasionally got the HR letter highlighting the points of the law that described what is harassment in the workplace. I noticed at increase one year when we received three in a matter of three or four months and latter found out that they ended up firing someone for not adhering to company policy base on those harassment laws. Turns out those letters were directed at this person and kept HR in the clear from not having to directly talk to that person. A log was kept of incidents and word spread out for people being directly effected by this person to log complaints with HR. There must have been some incident that was caught on tape or happened in front of an exc that got the poor sap fired. __ no it was not me.

I think that kind of bullying is just sick. I hope you get it taken care of before something bad happens.
