Lemmings

It's scenes like this that make this my least favorite day of the holiday season, followed closely by every other consecutive day untit xmas, when stores are closed.

Mrs made an appointment at Picture People at 10:30am at the mall for our family portrait for this year.

amazingly we found parking.. we happened to be driving by the door just as the owner of The God Spot was leaving. well.. maybe not The God Spot but certainly one of the apostles...

I walked into Harbor Freight Tools yest. to pick up an electric drill...the full parking lot should have warned me off, but thoughts of day after TG sales made me go in...HOLY FARK...a 40 yard long line waiting to get to the registers, and the place smelled like a boys locker room from all the sweating customers straining to carry 100lbs or more of shop tool bargains through the shoulder to shoulder crowds of other cattle in there.
No sale is worth that kind of mess. I'll buy my drill after the holidays.

We waited til after 1pm to go out yesterday. Spent the whole day together, just what Mom wanted.

The crowds were not that bad so late. However, most of the "sales" were done by that time, too. *shrugs* I got 4 shirts & a pair of pants for less than $40.

Talking from tshirthell.com's mailing list

The Christmas season has officially begun. What kind
of idiot gets up at 4 o'clock in the morning to stand
in front of Wal-Mart for 3 hours so they can save $10?
You know this is the same idiot who has left their 5
kids at home alone to play with a book of matches, and
a pint of whiskey in front of the space heater.
