I agree Large Marge... as much as we might disagree with their politics or methods, they do at least bring to mind some of the things we might not otherwise worry about. I think in general it's important to have around voices, even radical ones, that remind us to think about things we don't always think about on our own.

I do have a problem with killing for pleasure, or killing for trivial purposes. I don't think it's right to go around throwing red paint on people (heck, that only gives them a reason to buy another fur coat!) but I have to say, I get kind of a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach when I see someone walking around in a mink or holding a crocodile bag. I'm also not sure how I feel about animal testing... at the very least, I think that probably a lot of what happens under the guise of "humane medical testing" isn't as necessary as we're led to believe -- but this is an empirical argument (one that right now I just don't have the facts to back up ). That said, I am a meat-eater, and one who has benefited from many useful drugs. I don't *think* that makes me a hypocrite.

Anyway, just my two cents' worth!
