fashion trends you will NEVER follow

the poncho
Try carrying a purse while wearing one: hang the purse over the poncho, the ample underarm fabric bunches up; carry it beneath and it creates a tumorlike protrusion
Most ponchos you see on the street are flimsy, assembly-line creations of "crocheted" rayon, nylon, acrylic—often bordered by a clumpy, tangled fringe—that make a woman appear as though she is dressed in a doily paperbag poncho

whats next...?

The October issue of Vogue shows "capelets" by Jill Stuart, Behnaz Sarafpour, and Ellen Christine Millinery, suggesting that these minicapes will inherit the mantle. They may make you look like a superhero, but in my opinion, that's far preferable to resembling a fort.

Maybe you could invent a poncho with a built-in purse

(BTW - I got my purse at DSW - it was the only red one left so I snapped it up! )

I will *never* wear anything that I look at and think, "*This* sort of thing is why they bombed the World Trade Center."

heh.

I was thinking of some boots I saw in a magazine shortly after 9/11. Bright pink, jewel-encrusted, god-awful things the price of which was in the thousands. I mean - as long as there are people starving in the world, that sort of thing should be illegal.

Orange is my bf's favorite color and he wears it all the time. I'm amazed at how many clothes he finds that are orange.

I am almost giving up on wearing brown. I have the brown pants and/or tops now AND I finally have the f***ing shoes but only black jackets and black purses. F*** that. It is too expensive to have a seperate wardrobe just to wear one brown item.

and no...you can't convince me it is okay to wear black w/ brown. I have my standards.

you have to have a certain skin tone to look good in orange. If you have red/pinkish shades to you, just say no!

I will never again wear leg warmers! I see that they are selling them at Target and other stores again. YUUUUUUUCK!!! Another thing I'll never wear is a bandana around my ankle.

This is a pretty amusing website, if you need reminding of what you will NEVER wear...

I'll never wear high heels again. I like them a lot, and they look good. But no amount of Tylenol 3 makes it possible.
