He looked upon the scene of gothic horror with eyes innocent to the obscenities that were unfolding. The form emerging from the box had texture like that of crude petroleum but in the prismatic gleam a complexity could be made out, a swirling as though the creature were constructed of fractal patterns cast in death. Never meant for human eyes the vision caused my soul to flee my body in a last shudder of terror and then I was consumed. (sorry, have been reading a bit of H.P. Lovecraft lately)
