Bush is working on TORT reform - much to do with the reasons insurance companies are driving Doctors out of business and pushing insurance rates up - you know like when a woman puts a cup of hot coffee between her legs at a drive-thru, gets scalded and sues a gets 1 million dollars! Cup holders? Hello? I am self employed. I pay almost $900/month for the privledge of having insurance. I'm thinking of dropping MM and just keeping catastophic to lower my rates. There are insurance programs with the Nat. Assoc for the self Employed (NASE), Or The Graphic Artist's Guild (GAG) has programs - depending on what you do. Bush is also bettering our schools so people can get better jobs to that offer insurances, or to have the money to afford insurance. If you want a hand-out a tax payers expense - I suggest you get a job, make lots of money and then see how it feels to have 45% of you earnings go towards taxes. Or go live in Canada or Europe. As far as you brother and friends -- you want us to accept you (which I do without malice as I have a sister) - but we don't get the same in return. The more acceptance I give - the more it's not enough for you. I have a San Fransisco marriage in my family, as well as an informal wedding with all friends and family - I have to explain all this to my 9 and 11 year old. Too bad for me and them, right! As long as you're happy, right? Civil Unions are great! Sharing benefits - great! Destroying what I believe in, what my religion stands for, what the institution on marriage stands for -- too bad for me, right? You hate Bush for what he doesn't do for you, but you can't like him for freeing women in Afganistan, or trying to free Iraq from an evil person that rapes, tortures and murders. WMDs? All countries involved thought they were there and then some (including Clinton and Kerry). The countries who refused to help all had deals with Saddam (France, Germany and Russia). Don't be a one issue person. Think of the big picture. Think of humanity. Think of other than me, myself, mine. ![]() |
