Robertson a Terrorist?
OK, so Pat Robertson is calling for the assassination of the dictator, Chavez. He said it, then denied he said it, and finally admitted and apologized for it.
What I'm wondering is, there's been some talk that other Christians (in case you don't know, Pat is a conservative evangelist -- the one who accused one of the Teletubbies of being gay) should be proclaiming loud and long against what he's said, condemnning it, saying that's not true Christianity, much as Muslims have been called upon to publicly condemn bin Laden and crew. Note: not for one moment am I comparing the two situations. Of course there's no comparison. I just found it interesting talk and wondered if anyone had any opinion -- or if it's much ado about nothing. |
