I am afraid to even attempt to capture the beauty of a poppy after Plath's peice. Wow.
Little bloody skirts! f-ing genious!!! ok I'll try to stop writing f-ing so often on so many threads, especially those deticated to the beauty of the universe - something we could (will) grow old trying to capture in words, thoughts, movements, living... Wait, I have one you all will love!!!!! Remembering the weighty hours are few, Make fast your faith to any flaming star. Oh, truly spoken this: "All dreams are true, While racing Time across the shadow bar." Let joy and grief be swift, unfettered birds Against the flower-crested wave of night; Give to the mind all bright, undying words That heart has need of on its falcon flight. No magic, singing syllable of sound Can hope to match in music, feathered thought, Whose whirring wings above this greening mound Of earth are heard. Is beauty ever caught In snare of words? Deceive me not with breath. I, being mortal, dream defeat of death. "I, BEING MORTAL" By Dion O’ Donnell
