Class Picture

Bobby, Billy
screaming and yelling
faces being made
The colour in the teacher's face
slowly starts to fade
Many children yelling, pointing
at a rat in a shoe
The cameraman is burning up,
and says, "I'm through with you!"
Sally's writing on the wall,
and little Sam begins to fall.
A blinding flash lights up
the room, just as Mark
screams, "KA-BOOM!"

5 weeks later, the pictures
are here.
The teacher and parents
all tremble in fear,
and as the pictures
come out, they shed
a small tear.
The pictures are horrid
and it's very quite clear,
that they're awful
and ugly,
but just wait 'til next year!

(small rat, age nine)

I am alarmed to note some similarity between dinz's poetry submissions and my own kiddo's proclivities.

Perhaps I should start saving up for a therapy fund.

While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles. 2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand. 3. Your foot will change direction.
