Happy!
Hi,
On a happy note, my mother and I are taking a trip to Europe next October. We are doing a tour, and at first I was against being with a tour group, but, when I started planning it, I became overwhelmed. I have been to Belgum, France, and Holland, but that was when I was an exchange student (many years ago), and had my host family guiding the way. We have booked it through Globus. We will spend 15 days. We start in Holland (Amsterdam), and travel through Germany, Austria, Italy, Switerland, France, and England. I am looking forward to it. It will be a whirl wind tour, but what the hell! I asked my mom tonight what city she is most looking forward to, and she said Lucerne. She went there by ship with her parents when she was 8 years old. Her father was from there. When I was a teenager, she would get letters from her father's family, at that time, I had a boyfriend that was studing german, so his teacher would translate the letters. At any rate, I would appreciate any advice from Ze Monkey's for this trip. Meals and lodging are all arranged, and I guess mom and I can't wander off too far from the group..... |
