It's supposed to be raining here, but instead we got five inches of snow.

Here's some amazing footage someone here in Portland took from their apartment yesterday:

uncontrolled skidding - holy crap!

Holy shit!!!! It's like a pinball game! Were there many injuries? Whiplash, airbag bruises, dirtied undies? How long ago was this?

Wow!!! 130kph winds. I read on CNN that people were told to not drive because of the wind so they're riding their bicycles but then the wind is knocking them over or pushing them backwards.

The weather is totally messed up here atm too, we usually have bitterly cold winters, but so far it's been around 17°c, last weekend I was sitting outside in a tee shirt, in January, wtf? In the north (of France) 2 people were killed in road accidents caused by the wind today (2 people is acutally a pretty high percentage of our population) & I'm guessing we're about to get hit with the cold you've got in the US.

a couple of b-list celebrities just rowed by in a canoe.
they said they wanted to save us, but as we are on the
fourth floor, and their boat looked leaky, we declined.

On the way to work this morning I saw 2 seagulls get blown really hard into a wall.

I hate seagulls so I found it quite funny.

But I did spend the day worrying about my boyf who's a motorbike dispatch rider, thankfully his boss told him to use a van instead as the wind was so strong.
