some ideas

Life really has no true meaning. I mean, it does, but its personal to each person. You have to find it through life's experiences. Sure it sounds like a third grade answer, but I'm surely not gonna say, "the meaning of life is walk 300,000,000 steps before you cross the bridge of sorrow on the way to find the Grail of Hym!"

Its simple, and its supposed to be simple, but we complicate it by distraction. There's a lot the world can get done, and should get done, but not everyone wants to. The old want the way it was, the new want it they way it should be.

So, in the end, the meaning of life in pancakes, sweet Jesus pancankes.

Procreation, seriously...similar to rabbits, albeit free thinking. Every advancement we make is for that.

If we don't pass ourselves on we are dead end carbon.

Actually if I remember correctly no more carbon is ever made so we are really recycled carbon. My carbon may have once been part of your great-great grandmothers pet snake. That thought makes me kinda happy. I might be related to a snake.

There is no appointed or assigned meaning to life. Sentient beings are cursed with the ability to contemplate the why's and the how's of existence. What you should do is find a passion and follow, carry it out to the best of your ability and then die without regret.

I have a passion. One tiny part of it involves looking at possessives vs. plurals. I assure you it is unpopular. I'll make up for it by dying with regret, though, so it's all right.

"possessives vs. plurals" ? I've never heard that phrase before.

I agree with AlSwearengen's "What you should do is find a passion and follow, carry it out to the best of your ability." Dying without regret is something of a tall order, but I think that we are nothing without our passions.
It reminds me of Joseph's Campbell's admonition to "follow your bliss."

I think that the persistent idea in you (the one that doesn't want to hurt anyone, that is), the voice inside you that keeps telling you who your best self is in your spirit and what you really want to do - your very heart's desire - is a holy one that you should listen to. Because it's there for a reason, and if you don't fulfill it, we have all lost something incredibly precious.

I have a similar issue: your or you're...drives me crazy! I try to swollow my discontent and look the other way.

I saw a shirt recently which had on it..."your stupid"

That made me laugh hard
