1. Reading a Book:
I count skimming or scanning as "reading a book." It's not speed reading; it's trying to get the gist of a book and once you have it you can leave the book for others. 2. reading cereal boxes, ads on TV or down town are all fodder for the mill. Reading by the kgm is excellent-highly recommended. Sorry for taking so long to get back to you, but I had to make a stop in the gamma quadrant and I don't travel at any of the warp speeds.-Ron

Ron Price is a retired teacher, aged 65. He taught for 35 years in primary, secondary and post-secondary schools. He lives with his wife, Chris, in Tasmania.
