Some people base their lives on Jesus. for many reasons..

Some people with bad childhoods need something, or someone to cling to, to make it all seem worth it.

Other people were taught when they were young that Jesus is the only way, and that you would otherwise burn in hell, from a kid's point of view, how fun does that sound?

Others find that, their cultures are based around a religion, and that if they do not follow it, they are a disgrace.

These are just three of the vast amount of reasons people believe in god.

I personally do not believe in god, and find that some of his morals seem outright corrupt.. but I am not gonna stop anyone from following him.
