Here I was thinking this was a thread where we all get to vent, and I had my story of how work took away my significant promotion after giving it to me because I hadn't been there a year all worked up.. and now I feel like a schmootz. I read that and think of how lucky I am. That poor guy.
And then I get to thinking about how my mother was in a coma about 6 years ago due to lithium build up in her brain (she's bipolar). She is still in a wheelchair and hasn't regained her balance. Reading about how he got the chance to walk again made me think a bit that he's the lucky one. Strange how perception winds and curves its way around reality.
