I haven't read it but I have meant to read it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/We_%28novel%29, inspired 1984 apparently.
Going back there's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erewhon which didn't really grab me. |

Alain de Botton - Essays in Love
It's a philosophical look at relationships, and I'm loving it. Definitely going to read more of his afterwards. |

I have T.C. Boyle's Water Music on the nightstand. I previously read some of his short stories, which I liked, but the words in this book are just too big. Has anyone read it?

Body of Work: Meditations on Mortality from the Human Anatomy Lab by Christine Montross
Or I will be in five minutes, if everything goes as planned. ...that sounds a lot more sinister than I meant it to. ![]()

an embarrassment of mangoes, by ann vanderhoof.
it is about a couple (both journalists) who quit their jobs and sail to the caribbean, spending two years in paradise. if only! well, i get motion sickness, so maybe i wdnt like the sailing part so much...hehe...but two years off work and the caribbean would be heavenly. ![]() ![]()

Truly the best inspirational/personal growth book I've ever read. |
