syllepsis - the slow degrading and subsequent rot of the syllables of an unjudged word in the Dictionary Game.
Few judges of the Dictionary Game managed to avoid at least some degree of syllepsis during their tenures, and many of them could barely keep their word together enough, after long periods of decay, to complete their judging tasks at all.
