That song in "the snowman" always gets me.... it makes me think of happier days that not only will never be again but that never happened in the first place.

He's sad because he hasn't got any skin.

Watching my MIL leave bottles of vodka around the house with a half inch at the bottom (because then you haven't finished it) makes me sad.

^my dearest friend is in the same situation. It's quite difficult; when she expresses concerns, her husband and his family are very defensive about it and cut her up something awful.
These are the same people who sent her several wishlists this year to help her know what to buy them. It would be nice, I guess, except that she's spending nearly all her time trying to take care of her growing belly, her 1-yr old, and her dying mother. So it might have been nicer to say, "Don't get us anything at all this year, love. Actually, can we do the rest of your shopping for you?" Yeah. That would have been nice. |

some time ago my computer decided to reject half of "hail to the thief" and i've only just discovered that i've been listening to half an album for god only knows how long. it's been so long since this happened that i actually don't recognize some of the tracks when i hear them. like they're completely unfamiliar.
this makes me so sad, i want to bawl my eyes out like a weenie little emo kid.

Do you think it would make any sense, said like that? I guess it would.

I'm sorry trish - and I think you're right about that, too. there needs to be more than one or two voices.
