these people are diving in caves I used to swim in... check out the halocline visible near the end of the video >>A halocline can be easily created and observed in a drinking glass or other clear vessel. If fresh water is slowly poured over a quantity of salt water, using a spoon held horizontally at water-level to prevent mixing, a hazy interface layer, the halocline, will soon be visible due to the varying index of refraction across the boundary. A halocline is most commonly confused with a thermocline - a thermocline is an area within a body of water that marks a drastic change in temperature. A halocline is simply a region below the surface of a body of water where there is a significant increase or decrease in density. Density may be found by using the equation P = Mass / Volume(g / cm3) |

Outcome tends to adhere to a rule of thirds: about a third recover, about a third have a chronic course with mortality increasing sharply in the second decade, and about a third relapse and remit. Chronic disease management is aimed at extending the lifespan, and shortening the length and depth of the relapse/remit cycle. This is labour-intensive, hence costly.
Where many are called and few are chosen, it makes no sense whatsoever to spend on prevention. Since not very many people have worked that out, though, it can be lots of fun -- certainly more fun than getting wet with tears, blood, and vomitus. But not ennobling, not helpful, and not respectable.
