Children’s Research Hospital St. Jude in Memphis (USA) have identified a protein that could give the Ducks a natural resistance to influenza infection. The authors of the discovery, published in the online edition of the journal”Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences”(PNAS), suggests that the protein could be transferred to the chicken cells to produce a similar immune response.
