Hi,
Found out today it is cancer. The vet and I talked about various things. He said he had to let me know the options. One was chemo and radiation. I told him that I would not entertain that, because Knuckles is 16. The vet said he agreed with my decision, but had to present all options to me. He also told me the tumor may grow back. I said, if it does, I will not put Knuckles through that surgery again. Although he did make a swift recovery, it was hard on him, and I won't put him through that again. If the tumor comes back, I told the vet, I would put Knuckles down. Again, the vet agreed. I am glad I have a vet that seems to care, and does not push me to do every treatment possible. So, Knuckles has an appointment to get his staples out next week. He has been eating very well. He is only supposed to get one can of food a day, but I let him have two today. If he wants three cans a day, that is what he will get. This is so very painful. But, I love my cat, and will do anything for him to live in peace and comfort for the rest of his life, no matter how long or short it may be. |
