In a parallel universe....
everyday there was something to accomplish. Time moves fast when you are bored and slow when you are having fun. I also have enough power to ban all sustained noises above the sound of a car that was not damn good music. And the world is powered by flatulence.

I am one of seven wives, living in community, raising children not my own. I make kombucha and design clothing. The trees are filled with electronic birds and drones shaped like colorful hot air balloons. When I need anything - to send a message, to fetch some butter from the store, a bolt of silk, or to turn up the heat of the sunlight, I summon one. It alights gracefully in front of me and I give it verbal instructions, scanning my hand under its laser for payment.
