Owen Meany is just brilliant - one of my favourate scene is the christmas play and Owens victory over Barb Wiggins !

Have you ever read or seen "The Tin Drum" by Günther Grass ?
Owens figure is a tribute to Oskar Mazerath the main character.

My recommendation for more Irving books are

"Hotel New Hampshire" and "The Cider House Rules"
