We are getting married on September 2, 2003.
We have decided to "elope" to a destination wedding in Eureka Springs...the home of many a romantic, intimate wedding.

We have gotten our rings, his suit, the wedding plans are all made. Just waiting on the seamstress to start on my dress.

I am so excited!

We are trying to decide whether to have a reception/celebration/gathering when we get back. Everyone keeps asking us when the party is..... haven't decided whether to have one..... should we?

Of course you should, and invite all the ZeMonkeys. I think we have a proven record of good parties now...

definitely have a party. that way more gifts. and it allows your loved ones to celebrate your love with you.

and yes, invite the zemonkeys. register with someone who is available online.

Oh yes - if you're going to elope - you *must* have a party so everyone can get their wedding fix - Weddings are really for everybody else anyway, aren't they?

Usually, they are (about everyone else)...
which is the exact reason that we are NOT having a traditional wedding.

We decided that we truly wanted our wedding to be about US... no one else.... may sound selfish, but if there was ever a time to be, I think a wedding is a good enough reason.

My entire family is fine with it. In fact, my parents eloped (my dad-17, my mom-15) and they are still happily married.

His family, on the otherhand.... well, let's just say, the guilt-trip has begun!
