Sure, the commercialization annoys me, and I'm not the hugest fan of most Christmas songs. To be perfectly honest, I've never seen A Christmas Story, having grown up in a home where we rarely watch television.
But I still really love Christmas, because all the stuff I end up buying is for my family and friends who I get to spend time with. And of course, the food. There's nothing like Christmas food. I get back to Houston at 7:30am on Dec. 23, and I'll spend my day making our Christmas tamales, and I'll spend the next day cooking and eating as well. That's what I really love the holiday for.
