One year my friends and I found some ice cream and decided it would be a good idea to make champagne floats. It was, in fact, a very bad idea. Consume your bubbly straight.

This year, I'll probably drive to Dallas, like I do every year, and get drunk with people whom I mostly haven't seen since high school (with the exception of various NYEs.) Then I'll probably try to cook something; I always do when I consume too much alcohol in the vicinity of a kitchen. I have several foggy memories of making "Mexican Pizzas" that somehow involved the use of a vacuum cleaner, and other such adventures.

Bush has called the "era of personal responsibility": if a child chooses to have parents who can't afford health care, that child will have to accept the consequences.
