Of course I don't agree that my belief is a "cop out." I'm surprised that you think its easy to be a Christian in this day and age. It would be much easier for me to follow the crowd. I'd save myself a lot of ridiculing and such things, (you find it necessary to make out that I'm stupid because of my belief ? a prime example). Also, to live as a Christian requires much self-discipline to resist things like sex etc. You think that's easy? LOL
I'm no mastermind, but I can't see how any human can ever "figure out" why things are the way they are. If anyone does let me know!
I can see your point, however. It is easy for me to say "God did it," because that's what I believe is true. But I have no urges to figure out how or why, that's for Him to know. Its much easier than believing that things just appear!!

It's not that I really think you're taking the easy way out, I can appreciate how difficult it can be to go against the grain. It's more that I don't get how you could so willingly remain ignorant about the explanations of how and why things are the way they are. You don't want to know, yet you gladly reap the benefits of scientific advances? (For example your computer, medical discoveries, your car or bike or bus, etc. The list goes on and on) I think the Amish got it right in that respect... ever consider moving to pennsylvania? I hear it's really nice at this time of year.
And what is this urge to resist the finer (funner?) things in life?? A little occasional hedonism goes a long way you know...
