So the US is in a Catch-22. Most Iraqis are glad we took out Saddam and his tyrannical regime. Now they are of course divided over US involvement in helping them establish a viable representative govt. If the US leaves now, the left lambasts the administration over leaving too soon. At the same time, they lambast the administration for being there now.
In the end, 70% of Iraqis think they will be better off in 5 years than they are now. Not bad.
