Strange Love Affairs
![]() I actually watched the chicken go lay down next to the dog, and for the first time in my life, I had a camera next to me. Chickens don't lay on their sides much, but it was nice and sunny and she took her clues from the dog, I guess. This is Bud, my other dog. |

hehe
that's cute! 15 years ago, when little Frieda was still wearing her little girl's clogs, my parents had a cat and i had a rabbit. the cat always slept right next to the rabbit, and the rabbit must've thought it was a cat too.. it was always trying to roll itself into a ball, the way the cat did, which of course didn't work because rabbit bodies aren't built to do that! it was very funny to see though. at one time the rabbit did succeed in curling up it's paws underneath itself, the way cats do! ![]() |

Too cute Aud! Is Bud smiling in that pic? I used to have an old fluffy Golden Retriever and a Mouser Kitty that was very friendly. The cat would sleep on top of the dogs side when he laid in the sun on the deck.
The dog would also hump this same cat, but that's another story.

I once had a pet skunk, and a rabbit that tried to do him, as well, and the rabbit got the idea after he found out that skunks have really sharp little teeth!
That is a alligator sculpture I found in a junk store, love it I just found out this am that I now have 50 bizillion chickens. One of the chickens was layin on eggs, and did a really bad job, she walked around and was really young, didn' know how, so she kept sittin. I was going to have her thrown in the chicken looney bin, as she sat there for like 2 months on what was obviously now baddddd eggs. What I didn't know, was that other chickens were goin in there , while she was layin there, and putting an egg next to her every once in a while, and she would scoop these new eggs up and put them under her as well. I looked under her one day, to her dismay, and there were lots of eggs, so I shone a light in them, the bad ones I pitched and let her keep the others, I figured she'd lose them from being a bad mother like the other ones. So this am, I go out, and there's ELEVEN little heads sticking out from around her wings, OMG. They are so cute....Im already getting about 8 eggs a day from the other chickens, I didn't mean to get this into chickens, they just happen! I feel like I'm overwhelmed with eggs!!! I'd sell them, but I don't think I'd even want to walk to the end of the driveway for $3.50/doz! I usually just give them to the Bink's school. They pretty much stay out of my way, cept that one that thinks its a dog, we'd adopted it.. I need to take a pic and post it of all these chicks, they kept fallin out of the nest (they tuck and roll, luckily) so we boarded it up. I'll try to get a pic |

Yes, this place is a secret petting zoo, I think.
