You know - it's interesting that the only thing mentioned in the news about that weather was all the lightning and hail... when what *I* noticed most was the most amazing, gorgeous double rainbow - lasted at least an hour or so. I just happened to be driving around that time, in that direction - had a great view of it the whole time... wish I had a camera with me...

I'm a Valley Girl, born (Northridge) and raised (Calabasas)...worked all my young adult life (apparently I'm in my old adult life now) in L.A./Hollywood. Lived for years in the Fairfax District and West Hollywood, until I moved to Colorado in 1994 - been here since.

I remember when the SF Valley was mosly Orange Groves hehee! Feelin old at 40 now!

We get heat lightning here in the summer and it curls all over the sky at night, no thunder or rain, and we just lay out in the front yard and watch.
