Cool. I've read good reviews about vacuum brewers, they make good coffee they say. Let us know how it works out if you do succum to temptation. Don't let the temptation of writing a scintillating review tip your tempt scale though.

I love to tease.

What kind of coffee did you drink today?

Millstone's Chocolate Velvet & some of the free shit (and I do mean shit) at work

How did you have it?

At home I sprinkle Vietnamese cinnamon over the grounds before making it, then when it's done I add 8oz skim milk to 8oz coffee.

At work I sprinkle hazelnut creamer in to make it taste halfway decent, then I add a lot of cold water so I don't burn my tongue & I haven't figured out where they keep ice cubes yet.

With sugar? How much?

Milk has natural sugars in it, and those flavored creamers already have sugar, too. So, no sugar for me.

With milk or cream? Elaborate.

See above. When you've been drinking skim milk for 10+ years, 1% feels like a decadent treat if you're out & that's all the gas station has.

Did it give you a buzz?

No. Sadly, I am becoming immune to its' charms. Time for a detox, not sure when since I'm back on first shift. I gave it up for a year or so, doctor's orders. Green tea w/mint is what I replaced it with. However, earlier this year I was very ill & yakked halfway through the morning & that's all that was in my stomach, so now I hate green tea, and will for a few years. My stomach just turned now thinking about it.

Why do you like coffee, why do you hate coffee.

Caffeine is my drug of choice. Not good for my kidneys, I'm supposed to have no more than a cup a day. *laughs hysterically, head down on table, hand banging on table hysterically*

I will give it up again soon, just not sure when.

I'm that way regarding Southern Comfort...ugh.

If that is just cuz of the caffeine...there are really good tasting defafs, you can blend 1/4-3/4 or whatever to "increase your flavor intake" without increasing your caffeine intake.

Let me know how you like it. I thought it might be nice for the bar, either that or a Senseo.

Re: Coffee Talk

What kind of coffee did you drink today?

Didn't. I don't usually unless I really need it.

How did you have it?

Didn't. Se above.

With sugar? How much?

When I do drink coffee, I drink it black with no sugar.

With milk or cream? Elaborate.

See above.

Did it give you a buzz?

When I drink it, I do so to get a buzz...

Why do you like coffee, why do you hate coffee.

It's a good social drink when with friends in the morning and it's a good pick-me-up when I need it.

I'm drinking the Columbian (Excelsio...not Supremo) that I roasted yest...cept i couldn't leave it alone...I added a handfull of Malabar Gold to it.
Lots of body, a bit chocolaty...actually I wolfed it down to fast to attempt a good flavor analysis...suffice it to say that had zip and tasted good.

Heads to kitchen to make 2nd cup.

P.s. Bodum is a VERY reputable name NYC...If they make it, it will work...whether it is a pain to use or clean??? And does it make a good cup of JOE or is worth the trouble/expense of the unit???...Let us know.

My first post here o_O:

I love coffee, but I hardly make any at home lately because I think my espresso machine is dying. It gets way too hot, spits steam out of random places, and leaks water out the bottom of the machine.

I haven't had anything so far today, but I might get a cappuccino from the gas station later. x_x;
