The Dull Vinci Code

I haven't touched this book in over 2 wks.

I just can't seem to get myself to finish reading it before the movie comes out and usually I'm all over a book trying to finish it.

Anyone else have this problem or am I just not following the flock hard enough to fit in?

I feel the same way about it. The quality of the writing is pulp. Nothing to keep my interest.

I heard the movie is much better.

Well, I enjoyed the book and read it cover to cover in record time, but then, I'm a fast reader and love mysteries and suspence novels. I'm looking forward to the movie because of Tom Hanks, Ron Howard's directing and the scenery.

Same here.. I bought it on iTunes and listened to it to get me thru that project Oct-Jan where i had to make 60 sculptures and paint them..THANK GOD for that. I bought a bunch of books, too much work to see the movies...that gay cowboy book was a waste. Talk about light reading.

OMG, did you listen to the version where the guy reading it does all the voices and accents? It was hysterical! My friend Clint and I listened to it when we drove my brother's car to SF from Chicago. The way it was read made an absurd story sound even stupider. By the time we got to Prairie Dog World in western Kansas, we were talking to each other in high-pitched voices with bad French accents.
