Haven't even thought about it this year, and I still have to make my kid a disintegrator ray.

Ideas?

We don't celebrate Halloween over here.
Instead, we bring wreaths, flowers and candles to the cemetery.
The only fun I used to have was stealing melted candle wax from various graves and make a wax ball from it.

I like this costume for some unknown reason:

I am making a cape out of raspberry fun fur and lime-green crushed panne velour.

it looks as if I've killed and skinned a Fraggle.

it is the single most glorious piece of costuming I have ever yet conceived.

pictures when it's done

^^ If you want a politically incorrect costume then dress up as a court-jester, the only one who can say anything and get away with it. Court-jesters were the lice in the fur in the old days. I think we need more of them at present!

I'm going to wear my red Hawaiian sarong, devil horns, and last year's rhinestone eyelashes...Pele the volcano goddess.

My son has decided to be the undead, so I tore up his white t-shirt, rubbed dark eyeshadow all over it, and added a few bloodstains...voila.

I bought a long black wig with bright blue trim and ludicrously blue glitter nail polish for this year. Perhaps the devil horns will make another appearance, and I have my eye on blue feathered eyelashes a la Gaga.

My son is continuing last year's theme by choosing a grim reaper costume, but the one he likes is too long. I keep giggling over hand-hemming the grim reaper's robe with my little pins and thimbles and cute tomato pincushion.

I'm thinking of putting a yellow circle on a white onesie to dress the little one up as a poached egg. We're going to be the jerks handing out stickers and tatoos and sweet tarts on the block since that's the only way I can figure out how to have a nut-free Halloween to avoid sending my little poached egg into shock. The older one reports having outgrown any desire to dress up...unless everyone else turns out to be doing it.

I wish I had the guts to do this ruined fresco Jesus, but that could probably get me shot in this part of the country.

The ninja spin attempts to elevate it from Disgusting to Epic...succesfully?, you decide...it is certainly politically incorrect however.

My oldest teenager bought some white felt and sewed himself up a Finn hat from Adventure Time last year - added a sword, and the rest was easy:

This year I think he's going to talk his younger brother into doing this with him:
